I love you, Dad, and want you to know,
I feel your love wherever I go,
Whenever I've problems, you're there to assist,
The ways you have helped me would make quite a list.
Your wisdom and knowledge have shown me the way,
and I'm thankful for you as I live day by day.
I don't tell you enough how important you are,
In my universe you're a bright shining star.
No matter where I go in life,
who I got married to and how much time I spent with him,
The life I build with him and how much I love him,
You will still always be my number one man.
I'm fighting back tears over this one,,,, say it to him all the time, I wish i had more time to keep saying these words to mine,,, but alas they remain wishes, Allah knows best and he is never wrong so i say Alhamdulillah for all the fathers out there who have been half a father mine has been to me!
ReplyDelete...i feel you gurl and I am so grateful wallah to still have him in my life...my pillar of support, my God provided bank and everything in between...i try to show him how much he means to me but i doubt that if even i know the full extent of the deepness of my love for him
ReplyDeletewwwaw! This is a wonderful poem ever to a father -from a daughter- as often-traditionally- we seem not tell our father how we feel about them and how much we appreciate them. . . Yet that means not that they are not important! Big up Sabra for this super poem. I love it so much, and am here-by asking for your permission to copy it as it is and send to my beloved father!!
